We saw Pawankhind, the story of the Great fight and sacrifice of Maratha warrior Baji Prabhu Deshpande. Absolutely captivating movie, that has been made by a team of creative people and impressed with the depiction of the fight and the emotion behind the events. How did Godkhind become Pawankhind! Every Maharashtrian who is proud of the State and Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj must watch this movie. We need to make these wonderful people successful, those who are trying to recreate history in good style. If you have spent Rs 600 for Suryavanshi, which is nothing but a fictional superhero movie, then you can surely spend half of that money to celebrate the true story of the real hero of India, Chatrapati Shivaji and his men, who fought for Swarajya, the Indian Independence from foreign rule. Jai Maharashtra!

Riz is simply a genius actor. The intensity he brings to play. And right after the first 30 minutes you forget his real name and call him by his character name. That is how well he got into the skin of the character. Ratings could be distorted by various factors including the origin of the actor. It is a psychological Thriller. And Pearce couldn't have picked a better actor to deliver.

I experienced Kashmir Files. Packed house. At break time everyone was so stunned that when Intermission was announced and the lights came on, it took a full minute for people to move. Everyone kept staring at the screen. We all got transported to 19th January 1990. The movie got over. But it kept running on the screen of my mind. My mind was numb and exhausted. This happened in our country!! Not too long ago. When I was about 30. 30 years ago. I was so busy with my own life and career, that I missed the impact of a genocide. It puts in perspective the boldest decision taken by a government- Article 370 revoked in 2019. There is a strong mention about Balasaheb Thackeray who stepped in to offer unrestricted education to Kashmiri Pandits. My heart felt redeemed! Maharashtra was the only State that stepped forward. No other State did. The ending is so impactful that one needs courage to watch it. An outstanding movie by Vivek. With main leads played by Maharashtrian actors. You all must watch. DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN TO THE MOVIE. So many fools did it today. Tighten your guts and hold your heart. You may not be able to stop your tears. We all owe an apology to all Kashmiri Pandits. We as a Nation are sorry.

I have few words to describe this movie. Hope you can make sense of it. An experience. A new format. Inspiring. Raw. Power-packed. Reality. Little acting. Another India. You and I. Knew little. Nagraj. All the way. Amitabh. Bachchan. An institution.

After a long while, we walked out of a movie hall, totally stunned. Proud. Emotional. #MissionRaniganj is a movie that leaves your chest swelling with pride. TInu Suresh Desai, who gave us iconic Rustom, brings pace, sharp screenplay and dialogues, a thrilling sense of knot-forming suspense and a bright hope filled direction in the midst of gloom. Stories like this which brings to light forgotten heroes like Jaswant Singh Gill, who single handedly rescued 65 coal mine workers at Raniganj, needed to be told. The cinematography by Aseem Mishra and the background score by Sandeep Shirodkar are the highlights that collaborate so brilliantly to tell a story that keeps you glued to the seat and biting your nails. So much that you hate it when interval gets announced. Our pounding hearts took over from the throbbing abdomen that needed to be relieved. The array of fantastic actors, lots of them almost forgotten, come to life in the movie. You will recognise each and every one of them. Well done guys. Bharat has arrived in terms of movie making. We will soon get past the usual fare dished by Hollywood and there will be a formal need for an Indian version of Oscars soon that encompasses all regions of Bharat, that make great movies!
