I sort of felt helpless and powerless after watching the film . I realized that I have always sort of ignored these people on the streets in Mumbai whenever I drive past them in the car or probably given them Rs. 100 to 200 whenever I was in the "good mood". I sort of think myself as liberal Indian similar to Rajkumar Rao's character in the film such that I am comfortable with the system that has given me the privilege of my social standing but I also feel sympathy towards the underprivileged. I just found out how meaningless and empty(as well as annoying) the pity is for them and how it contributes to the oppressor's powers.
Well that's my two beats . The film does not really give me a break here nor does it suggest ways to improve. But it does make me introspect and think.
Makes me more aware and conscious and helps me break out of my own "rooster coup". That just makes it one of the few films there that will remain in my memory and has probably changed my life.
The acting was awesome , the cinematography was flawless and music was vibrant. Everyone should at least watch it once because even if you don't enjoy you will at least get a new perspective of life
