As an expat American who has lived in Japan for close to 30 years, your coverage on the Olympics has missed a lot of issues. For example, why have you not reported the flouting of the rules and the lack of enforcement by the IOC and the Japanese Olympic committee? Why have you not reported on the impact that the current surge spurred on by the Olympics will have on the healthcare system here. More specifically, why have you not reported on the fact that the Japanese government has been claiming a potential collapse of the medical system since March 2020 but has been so busy pushing the Olympics that they have not increased beds, personnel, or equipment at all. As a result of all of this, Japan is poised to be the next India or Indonesia.
I wish that you were reporting were a little bit more analytical and not simply puffing up the Olympics.
