I made it through 5 episodes before I gave up on it. I stuck around that long because there are some wonderful actors, but the story is ridiculous. I don't understand the point of basing a story on historical events if you are then going to ignore the history. This was nothing more than an excuse to string together modern prejudices with a preadolescent sense of sex and violence. The result was predictable and boring. What a waste of good source material.
