I'd say it's poor timing with the many "casual sex" scenarios as we face MONKEYPOX on a rapidly increasing level. And of course it's set in a NYC world of financial success and "problems" that don't seem too difficult to resolve. Two weeks after a 17 year relationship that has supposedly devastated him and he's dating and has sex with a stranger? Hmmm... Light comedy? Not so much.
