Great until the last two chapters, it was kind of like game of thrones, great in its prime and created amazing ideas, cool world, awesome mechanics, and beautiful characters, (spoiler alert) but after killing the main character it lost its mojo. It felt like they wrote the ending first and tried to fit the last to chapters to bend around it. The characters weren't the same, the plot started to fall apart and make no sense, and more questions were made than answered. It felt....very unsatisfying. I loved this game till the end, the creator used flashy fights and cool art styles to cover that the creator had no clue what they were doing, it felt very rushed. Plot elements made before were forgotten, barely anything was answered and nothing was really resolved. Some people will say, "Oh it's just a statement that not all endings are happy." My response is, "They don't need to be happy, just make sense." And this ending does not, it was rushed, confusing, and nothing was answered. The story was unfocused after killing the main character. I have no problem with that choice, but like Game of Thrones, it won't make sense unless you've planned what to do next. Where to go next. They very much did not. This ending left me so unsatisfied and I feel like I wasted hours of my life, that I can't get back. And it's sad cause it tackled complex and interesting philosophies and ideas, but it did not deliver on it. Here's what I believe, if they made the game longer and flushed it out, it would've been better, because everything would be answered and congruent. You would have a fluent story, it would make sense, and be heartfelt. This just felt, abrupt, jarring, and like a maze. You can't follow it or make sense of it. If the creator wants to make a second part to the game then, by all means, do it, but make it longer and better planned, replay your game and write down questions you had or have another person do it that has seen nothing of the game, answer those questions in the next game. Put more time and love it, because this just didn't feel earned, it just wasn't good. A shame for such an amazing character.
