Regarding Anne with an E: One misses the niceness of the heavenly universe, the PBS faithfully rendered characters of the Anne of Green Gables books were written into by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Netflix has plucked these characters out of that universe and written them into a kind of hell where unkindness and misfortune reign supreme as if unkindness is somehow more real and entertaining than kindness. There is already too much unkindness in the world Netflix, why create more?
