The Matrix was such an iconic franchise because it did not only tell a good story packed of action and PVC clothing. It put on the table the eternal discussion about destiny and the battle between good and evil. Its soundtrack was also legendary, specially "Neodammerung". This thing, however, is just a decaying corpse dressed in green that lacks all the elements that made the originals so emblematic. I regret waiting the past years to watch this garbage of a film. I could point all the things it did wrong, but for me, the biggest sin was that the team behind did not even care to arrange an original soundtrack for it. Its "sounds" were as generic and dull just as any other low budget film. Heck, I have even heard better arrangements in B movies or even Transformers. What an absolute waste of time, resources and money.

Awful and dull, I really do not understand how this thing won the pitching at Warner Bros. and ended being released to the masses. The staggering amount of constant references to dead IPs was plain awful. But the worst for me were the unending introductions of Hannah-Barbera characters such as Captain Caveman that nobody remembers or even care about anymore. Perhaps it was a bad idea making this movie and I blame myself for finish watching it.

What a waste of time and resources. The interesting thing about the games was Lara's abilities to overcome challenges, rather than being a living punch bag like this film decided to portray her. I pray for the sequel to be cancelled.
