I want to give it a 4.5/5 but we aren't allowed the option, and I won't give out 5 stars because that is reserved for literary perfection. Still, one of my favorite King short stories. I really like the grittiness evoked in the atmosphere of the rural ghost town and in the intimate street violence featured near the climax of the story. Kind of a similar experience to reading "Nona", another of King's grittier stories. And King's gritty stories are his best stories, for me anyway.
