Its hard to find positives about this show; I guess some of the sets are impressive, and the actress that plays the harfoot girl is really good but that's about it.
It was painful to watch for many reasons;
The lead actresses performance is completely wooden, she has no weight in her delivery at all, Its like she's trying to do a gravely voice to add gravitas to her performance but it just feels weird. The character is unbelievable even for fantasy, she's a 5 ft slight woman and your supposed to believe she's some epic warrior and commander of an army but she just comes across as being spoilt, entitled and very annoying.
All the dialogue is convoluted to the point where it feels Shakespearean, but its all poorly written and they're not actually saying anything "I will tell thee that If thy listens to thy own words and you foretake them as bestowed upon thy hears it would very please me if thee would gift to me your response etc etc " its just nonsense.
The entire thing just feels like your stuck in one continuous trailer. It never stops in one particular place and comfortably tells you about the place and the people. There is constant background music playing throughout the ENTIRE episodes and it swoops into one place, you get a load of nonsensical poorly written dialogue and wooden acting and then it swoops off to another place and does the same, and again and again. I just found myself not knowing much about the characters and just not caring for them.
I was glad when the first episode finished, it was painful to watch. As it was the first episode I gave it the benefit of the doubt and watched the second. Waste of time. I'm not even going to get into the politics that amazon have forced into the show. Its just poorly made...and that's reason enough not to watch.
