This movie is art. Art can make you uncomfortable. I think it's hard for some 1 star reviewers to relate to the film. I'm gay and was told at age 15 I was not allowed at church because of it. I had a challenging childhood. My father died at a weight of 385 lbs at 5'9". I have food addiction issues. I've gone through things I won't even put in writing to spare those involved. I walk with Christ and am Loved just as much as those who aren't. I have body issues but am in good shape and youthful looking for my age. Learning self love was my biggest lesson in life always feeling rejected by those who who were to love me the most. Life is not always easy for everyone. With that being said, the movie had me in tears. It's a tough watch due to the emotional content but extemely well done. You can be a Christian and still appreciate the movie. For it's the struggle that leads us closer to God. We should have compassion for those who struggle in life. The movie reveals a lot of about life and many can't handle that. Your take away from the movie can be enlightening or pure judgemental. I recommend watching it even if it makes you uncomfortable. Learning to be uncomfortable is what makes us stronger.
