This book was on the top of every shelf at books-a-million and the cover looked nice so i decided to give it a try. (Spoilers)
The author has some skills with writing, and not everyone can write something like this. But- As I was reading I was waiting for something really interesting to happen but it never did. Mateo died in kinda a lame way, and we dont even know for sure how Rufus died, though its pretty obvious he gets ran over. I dont like how the author tried to add romance. They were fine as friends. Also, the plot is just uneventful. They travel the city.. we never even find out the secrets to how Death-Cast works. Plus, I don't see why anyone would pay Death-Cast so how does the company even make money? Life would barely change except that you get a heads-up for when you're about to die. .... Rufus spends a little too much time talking about how they should go out and live. It takes them half the book to even meet. Also I just can't stand the way Rufus talks. I found that most of the side-character's stories added little spice to the plot. There are a few parts I enjoyed, but if you read this far I just spoiled the whole book so it's not really worth reading anyways. I honestly had more fun writing this review than I did reading the book.
