This book was seriously over-dramatized. War is terrible, as PTSD, however, I didn't feel the characters were represented properly. The children seemed overbearing and spoiled to put it mildly. As for a husband to see his wife go off to war and not even have a couple of pleasant days before she leaves was over the top. I could not finish book, it just kept dragging on. Seems like the author, Kristin Hannah just had to fill pages.
