Malaikkotte Valiban was a spectacular movie by director Lijo Jose Pallissery. On contrary to the mixed reviews and negativity that the film recieved here are the reasons why I absolutely loved it. 1. Brilliant Cinematography in films during the fight scenes and others were just chef's kiss! Anyone familiar would have easily understood the subtle references to the 'Midwest cowboy films' or western films. Most of the time in movies are spent on element creation in the background before a major scene. This was done brilliantly in the scenes. The first fight scene with "Mallan" was really good. Other scenes like the Portugese supporter army trying to trap Valiban with a bundle of ropes nd the way it's shot was a good take. 2. This movie is a historical/period piece where the maker has to depict an era to the general public in a way that they can fully grasp which makes it really hard to make a film like this. The chaos, wandering hero culture and the way of life of such an era of the region was exceptionally rendered through the film . 3. The solid characters like 'Chinnan' and "Jamandhi" and "Ashan" along with others and also the evident antagonists like "chamathakan" and the Portugese was also executed well. Thenmain villain revealed later also was well put. 4. The very simple yet sweet songs like "Punnara kattile Poovanathil" plus the fabulous BGM with a tinge of western film tunes added extra awesomeness to the Film! 5. The epilogue and Valiban's catch phrase: The conclusion or the climax where it's revealed that valiban's super powerful warrior father is still alive and he is to fight him was really good and created a huge anticipation to see what's next and that too ending the film with the Nijam dialogue - "Kannkandath Nijam, Kanathath Poyy, nee kanathellam poyy, ini kanapovathu nijam" which means "What you have seen is real, and what you haven't is a lie. What you have seen till now are lies and what I will show you now is the truth" was an awe-inspiring moment. This made the the movie one of the best I watched in the recent time. LPJ is known for his unconventional approach to narration and brilliant execution thereby in films and Lalettan as always was fantastic. We need to understand that Lalettan is not only for Pulimurugan or Lucifer. He's an actor and we should respect the versatility. A fresh take never seen in the Malayalam movie industry. One thing is for sure this movie was way ahead of its time! Thankyou to LPJ and Lalettan for this film and all the others and eagerly waiting for the second part.

*AN IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER* If anybody who is a binge watcher haven't seen this series....wait no more and WATCH IT. Believe me you won't regret. It has fine actor with a great story line and fresh content Basically I'm a binge watcher and I came across this and it crashed its way through my top shows to the first. I'm just really sad that I haven't known this show for so long.... I feel stupid ANY FICTION-FANTASY LOVER ...? YOU GOTTA WATCH THIS .
