It is made to give you wins and losses in a pattern to frustrate you and then give you a little reward to keep you playing. The gameplay has not gotten better over the last 10 years, it just has tweaks to make it different, but the mechanics and AI are always in question. I have never played another game, sports included, where I have felt like my hands are tied by the referee. They add celebrations and create a setting where players taunt and irritate each other. I rarely feel like I am playing anyone close to my ranking in skill. they are usually quite worse than me, or a lot better, and that could just be there Programming to modify the games in favor of one team. I've been playing this game since at least 2008 and spent hundreds of hours every year, and I am always let down by the lack of improvement, and the pieces like Career Mode that get worse each year, and it is not like they are not making more money than ever.
