The gore and visual elements are done very well. This movie also had probably the funniest kill I’ve ever seen in a movie. The premise of having a slasher from the killer’s perspective is also very unique. That being said, this movie moved very slowly which doesn’t really feel bad until the last 20 minutes or so. The last act of this movie drags.

Admittedly, I’m a little biased but I don’t care. I love 80s horror and I love 80s camp. This movie wraps both in a sweetly nostalgic and romantic bow. Kathryn Newton is a nightmare in all the best ways, and Cole Sprouse is the only zombie you’ll ever find attractive. If you want Heathers meets Carrie meets Frankenstein, this movie is for you! I will definitely be buying it on DVD the first chance I get
