The Prom , what can I say. I believe The Prom is really worth the experience to watch. The cinematography, the music , and the dance numbers is what you want in a musical adaptation brought in the big screen. I do believe however it has its flaws. The characters (mainly the two main girls that the story is based on) are really underdeveloped. The lack of depth doesn't really connect me to them as much as i hopped. some dialogue is cut from the broadway show that I believe would’ve helped develop them more. the 4 Broadway stars (Meryl , James , Andrew , Nicole) are great and do the job but you could tell that they were favorited in a way because of their popularity . The pacing couldve been better . With points in the movie just going by super fast like an after thought. However , I believe that cast and film work of this makes up those flaws in a way. The emotional value with everyone is amazing and is believable . Overall The Prom is something to watch if you are a die hard broadway fan or a viewer looking for a movie.
