I very much enjoyed this book. The author has an acute understanding of life. Rooted in a book of mythology adventures, the characters embark on their own intertwining adventures. Especially interesting to me is that the various events in the odyssey are explored from the perspective of different characters supporting my position that your now is different from my now. I was a little disappointed in the ending. As with some of my recent reads, it felt like the author was approaching a deadline or length issue and had to clip it short. Maybe that actually reflects well on an author when his readers feel like they could read several more chapters.

With actors like Kidman and Dafoe, I thought this movie would be at least passable. I was wrong. The performances were weak. The story line was predictable and boring. I should have turned it off so as not to waste my time as well as my money.

Maybe the best written book that I have ever read. Owens has a unique writing style and tells a captivating story. Her background in biology clearly surfaces as well. Loved the book and so have all of those to whom I have recommended the read.
