Matt Palmer

Being a fan of the original survival horror games, this was nearly a must buy. In a nutshell, here are my main points: + Great atmosphere/environment. + Superb lighting effects. + Excellently detailed rooms/areas. + Well fleshed out mansion. + Great homages to the classics. + Reasonably creepy creatures. + Some inventive camera angles. - Damage dished out vs health loss unbalanced. - Early weapons a bit naff. - Awkward movement at times. - Combat can be clunky. - Too many unnecessary puzzles. - Some puzzles incredibly illogical/vague logic. Some can feel ridiculously difficult. - Everyone loves a bit of backtracking but often feels like filler. - Slowest character runner ever.
