Overwatch 2 is less a sequel of the game and more a sequel of the monetization, but Season 3 is a good improvement in terms of being less exploitative. However, there's little point in engaging with this game when it effectively unplayable; the typical experience today is waiting >30 min (even though the game claims the wait time is less) trying to get just 1 quick play match (any role, any region) and then giving up without actually having played anything.
