Too serious for my taste, missing comedic relief c/o Kuwabara and Koenma. It was quite a let down not to see: Koenma switching between a funny loud-mouthed toddler and a somber, more serious adult. Botan flying on her broom is an iconic image that was also missed. Was really looking forward to these, it would’ve been cool for live action. Seems they chose to keep it safe, or maybe fell short on budget. Overall, points for nostalgia. Fight scenes were raw and it seems that’s where the focus was mainly directed.
