A bit disappointing. It's fine to bring in a clear social message, but it needed to be woven into the story with grace and subtlety. Angela Basset carried the film with a very strong performance, and Duke provided the needed humor, with the Dora Milaje cast providing some good moments as well. I didn't enjoy much of Shuri's character/dialogue, with her tormented behavior over her brothers death, especially given their spiritual belief system. The cameo appearance by Julia Louis-Dreyfus was a surprise, but in the end her attempt at providing humor fell flat. Over all, the film was not nearly as strong and entertaining as the first movie, but that was always going to be a problem for any sequel, difficult to move forward without a replacement for Boseman, and ultimately, without a new Black Panther.
Just a comment for those stating that the film is "racist" because if focuses on "people of color"... Racism is the socio-economic control of one group of people (ethnicity) over another, anything else, may be deemed "prejudice". Please understand terms before you use them.
