Rewatched this as a 17 year old because I've never forgotten it as once of the most exciting, poignant and powerful films of my childhood - there was a lot I'd forgotten, but it definitely didn't disappoint...it is both a magical and very sad film. I cried for most of the end. Like proper cried. Tears literally streaming. Anyways!!!

( Spoiler Alert ) WHAT!! They don't get together in the end ??! I'm heartbroken. Their chemistry was so good. That ending is evil. NOOOOO.

incredible show! finally feels like something that genuinely captures what it's like to be a teenager. the characters are complex, real people. the show genuinely impacted me, it was moving and powerful.

I bought this because I thought the trailer was funny and it had good ratings but was a total waste of money. Apart from a few cheap laughs, the film wasn't very entertaining - there was absolutely no depth whatsoever and no chemistry between characters. The characters were inconsistent and once again - had no depth. It's also just a bit creepy and seems like most of the film is just the main character masturbating. So yeah, DONT waste time on this one.

Honestly was so disappointed in this film after hearing everyone rave about it. The plot gets increasingly more unrealistic and just plain weird, meaning as an audience member I felt zero attachment to the characters and just found it stupid and pointless by the end.

such a wonderful film! beautiful cinematography, incredible acting and a poignant and honest insight into the lines we draw between people: in this case between teacher and student.

such a good show. so so clever and relatable, makes me laugh every time. it makes me so relieved that people out there actually get what its like to be a teenager!! perfect balance of insane, hilarious and weirdly educational/helpful.
