Do not listen to the haters. This movie was totally what I needed; cheesy, holiday romance, and laughs. Yeah, there's a little cringe in the beginning, but the film quickly picks up. Brooke Shields is a class act, and she has excellent chemistry with Cary Ewles. Will it be winning any awards; nope. But it fills the craving most of us have for corny Christmas flicks this season. Loved it!

It’s comical that Lucille Ball’s own daughter praises Nicole Kidman’s depiction of her mother and total strangers/audiences are “not convinced.” This film is about Lucille Ball, the person behind the Icon. The movie isn’t about you feeling warm and fuzzy but seeing the pressure Lucille was under to put on one of the most popular shows of all time (with a smile) while balancing a cheating husband and propaganda meant to decimate her career. The tough as nails woman who rose to the top of the heap when men ruled the studios. Not to mention the prejudice surrounding her marriage. I think Kidman and supporting cast more than deliver; helping to demystify the fantasy from the reality.

So bummed! I was excited to see Kelsey Grammer and John Cleese starring in a Holiday comedy; big fan of both! But then the movie began, and it was cringey almost immediately. Between the ANNOYING characters, flat storyline, and cheap, gimmicky music, I almost stopped watching. Elizabeth Hurley’s character was the only one with potential for laughs, and they kept her sidelined. If you have an enemy; recommend this holiday turd to them. Otherwise skip it!

I desperately wanted to LOVE this! I was so looking forward to some upper east side glam drama and got drop kicked. None of the characters are the least bit interesting. The adults are insufferable with their whining—zero character development with a plot that dances around a one-dimensional script. I kept watching in the hopes this show would wow, but sadly it’s a total bore fest. Zero star quality amongst this new “hot” cast. Hard pass!

I’m not sure what’s more frightening, the lousy acting or that people gave this 5-stars?! This movie is laughable, not scary. Cheap/predictable scares, BAD OVER THE TOP ACTING (the lead should do Soap Operas). The film totally rips off Nightmare on Elm Street. Even down to the Freddy Krueger laugh from the killer and the brief boiler room chase scene. Oh, and definite, “The Grudge” vibes! If you’re looking for comedy, grab the popcorn. When you finally see the plot twist, you’ll die laughing. Good horror??? Not even close!
