It’s so friggin bad. I’ve stayed tuned with this whole show for as long as I could and needless to say I’m emotionally checked out from watching it. I just gave up after season four and hearing Veronica call her dad ‘dAdDyKinS’. Story arc was good in season one and two and then it started getting like really cringy for the rest. Anyways if you’re gonna watch the show get prepared for cringe, horrendous writing, Veronica calling her dad daddykins every five seconds, hug head saying the whole ‘I’m a weirdo and you shouldn’t like me’ thing, and the most toxic father daughter relationship EVER.

Am I the only person who feels like every single on the movies has the same plot? Like c’mon we get it Elle you can’t choose between your best friend and your boyfriend. The second movie was the MOST BORING thing to watch. I spent two and a half hours of my life with that movie and couldn’t even finish it because of hot had it was. Don’t even get me started on the third one. I hate how the movies didn’t bring in how when you get into a Ivy League school doing a kissing booth, having a bad track record with discipline, and breaking dress code that bad actually gets taken into consideration. It’s not that easy to get into schools like that. Not to mention the fact that throughout the whole damn series it was always about how Elle could NEVER choose because if she did it would either upset Lee or Noah. The whole list shouldn’t have even been a thing because it causes more problems in their relationship than Elle picking a college to go to does. I feel like not only does it not show that being apart from your best friend is a thing but it also shows that getting into a university like that is extremely easy. It annoys the heck outta me when movies don’t actually show realistically how everything is after high school. Not only that but I was really sad that they made it so Elle didn’t figure out that she didn’t need a boyfriend to define her whole life. Like it felt like these movies didn’t show that you don’t need to be in a relationship to be happy.

I’m a high school girl who is also apart of the LGBTQIA+ community and I had to go through what Kaitlyn went through. I wore a tank top that showed my chest and immediately got dress coded while the girl right next to me was wearing the same thing and didn’t. When I tried to go against the dress code once more I was threatened with suspension. The way the rich kids and jocks were portrayed were very true on my part. They could get away with literally anything all because they were the ‘stars’ of the school meanwhile women within the school system were being oppressed. I may still be a kid in high school but at least I know what equality and freedom of all genders is. A lot of the time when a boy would mess with me and I would tell them to stop they wouldn’t listen. I went to the principle and they told me I was just being over dramatic. The amount of girl power this movie made me feel was astonishing. I wish there was more movies like this in the world. I loved this movie!
