If you read real critics reviews, such as Rotten Tomatoes, you will see that people did not like this movie. They say is was cringy, and confusing, and wrong, etc. But I think people are looking at this movie all wrong. When watching this movie, one needs to see the differences between life lessons and history lessons. I could write a page per "issue" said to be wrong with this movie, but if one watches in mind: this movie does not take place in the present, the different types of lessons, the fact that the main characters are young, and that this movie is rare because it is a Holocaust movie from the perspective of "good" Germans/Nazis. The two main characters (the love interests) love Germany, and although they don't agree with all of the Holocaust ways, they still back the motherland.
I never have read movie reviews or written one myself, but when I saw the undeserved critic scores I had to. As I said, I could write paragraphs on why people are wrong about this movie, but I am not eloquent enough to do it justice. So all I ask is that you watch this movie with the reminders/points I have made above.
