Joaquin Phoenix was brilliant! My first reaction was "Finally someone that could fill Ledger's clown shoes"; however, they are two different Jokers equally mastered by two amazing actors. The film clearly sheds light on the seriousness and desperation of those suffering from mental illness. An issue that should no longer be ignored.
