The game is advertised as having co-op which turns out to be the pebble pitcher instead of a whole second character, which very reasonably upset some of the people who wanted to play this game with their friends or family, the enemies don't respawn above ground at all, and the game is overall much easier than the other 3 installments.
That is the extent of my complaints with this game, and there's even a reason I don't mind the last one at all. It's stunningly beautiful, the Pikmin AI has been essentially perfected in this game, most enemies from previous games are here and given the spotlight with plenty of new ones as well, all types of Pikmin have been made available, this game really does have everything that made the previous games great.
I mentioned that the game was quite easy, well, the reason I don't mind that at all is actually a bit of a spoiler. All you need to know is that this game does give challenge to those who look for it, and it doesn't come in the form of a self-imposed challenge either. When this game can be hard, it demands Dandori mastery, and I'm absolutely here for it.
10 years waiting for this game, and it's everything I could have asked for.
