Shocking waste of potential, it couldn't make its mind up where it was going. Could have been an outrageous comedy, but missed its target by miles. Far too much overacting, gratuitous swearing that gave nothing except irritation to the viewer. If I'd have been watching this on TV, it would have been turned off after 10 minutes. Cameo from Anne Reid was unnecessary and added nothing to the plot. She must be short of a penny!

Superb and very affecting. It took me back to that period and how concerned I was for gay friends. When Freddie was played I was done for!
