I will be spoiling this movie, only for the purpose of preventing trauma for others, especially if you have a strong love for animals. I consider myself a horror fanatic and have a strong stomach, but Cannibal Holocaust was brutally violent. REAL animals are killed, women are raped, a live turtle is viciously eviscerated, people are burned alive, all of this makes cannibalism seem tame in this film. I watched this movie after seeing FOUR warnings that the movie is disturbing and horrific. Four. Warnings. This movies message about media sensationalism is effective, however the gore and all else is traumatic. Please, do not watch cannibal holocaust.
