I adored this book and went straight out and bought The Manningtree Witches afterwards. Both excellent . Blakemore celebrates language and the use of words with such relish and expertise, and she uses her great talents as a poet to feed her prose beautifully. Hugely original, studiously researched and a greatly enjoyable and thrilling literary adventure. Thank you .
