Solid show, worth a watch. They trimmed all the fat of the source material. Which is needed. People forget the cartoons often have filler episodes that are there when the writers aren't sure where to go or other issues. It might upset some fans but overall this show to bring in this format will be unfairly compared to the cartoons but will be excepted to be movie quality which is asking for the world when they need so much CGI. The cartoon was a casual show and so is this new show. If you were expecting a show that is more grown up as the fans that grew up watching it might expect, you'll be disappointed thinking you'll get a deep dive into what you already know about Avatar. But a solid tv show that is better than M. Night Shyamalan's joke of movie from 2010. Within the first 10 minutes you'll see that.
