I'll be honest, I didn't have high hopes for this show. I really only watched the first couple episodes because I'm a fan of Misha Collins. So, imagine my surprise when it actually turned out to be a pretty good show! Sure, it deviates from some of the established Bat-mythos but it stays true to the feeling of Gotham and even references other Bat-stories including the legendary Dark Knight Returns series with the Carrie Kelly version of Robin and the Mutant gang. I'm not familiar with the other characters, but that's ok because that means I also don't have any pre-conceived notions about them. Is it the best TV show out there? Not for me, but it's clearly aimed at a younger audience who I can see liking the characters and feel of the show more. Also, as a long time Bat-fan, I'm having to "suspend my disbelief" so to speak about things but I won't go into them here (spoilers!) That said, I will keep watching it because its a decent show, its fun, and I'm kinda interested to see which direction they take it in. Definitely worth giving it a few episodes worth of a chance at least.
