If you have read the book, you will hate the show. The book is 100 times better. I'm fast forwarding over not only the commercials but significant portions of the show. Ugh. PC'd all the characters, added unessessary drama and romance, miscast most of the main characters except Grey and Wallgast, screwed up the vampires, and dumbed down the plot for TV. Also, plot deviates significantly from the book almost immediately and not in a good way.
