Was hoping for a better movie. It had its moments. But it was slow and plodding. Scenes were created to add length to the movie(?), I suspect. Sarah was not a woman of the times. Women probably never talked to their husbands the way she did. A lot of walking. Dialogue that was needless. Again, I wanted to like this movie. I liked parts of it. But it was slow. Fragmented. As a Christian, I loved the ending. But how many people will wait until after the credits to hear the Gospel message? Abraham’s struggle with sacrificing his son was making it real. But giving in to Sarah telling him to take her handmaiden and impregnate her without much pushback. Mmmmm? And she blamed him? Yes she did. Tough to make a movie about Abraham and Isaac that would resonate with modern audiences. See it for yourself. Make your own judgements.
