I realise this is a show about relationships and generational change but, did we need to be slapped in the face with it? Is an audience that unsophisticated that the writers couldn't bring themselves to write more nuanced characters. Casting is like tick a box from the virtue signalling handbook: do we have a black gay guy - tick. Do we have a chick confused about her sexuality - tick. Do we have an Asian person - tick. Do we have an over the hill, fading star who's lost touch with the times she lives in - tick. And the worst of it is - it's not funny! The jokes are lame. I found myself trying to laugh out of pity. Sorry, had high hopes but really disappointed. And it's a shame because all good actors.

Historically - meh. And while some great actors present, far too perfect and Hollywood, so not reflective of the period. Watch Wolf Hall instead. Maybe not as sexy but far more believable and superb acting.
