Perhaps airing so close to the release date of The Batman didn't help expectations be set, but I tried to come into the movie with an open-mind nonetheless. And yet... I was still disappointed.
The story felt very cliché at times (understandable, as it's the "introductory story" to the character), with various plot points feeling predictable. That, or the plot points and character decisions felt confusing, as some of the characters' actions simply... didn't make sense.
While many described the action as merely a blur of color and smoky effects, I personally still found it tolerable--though, I can't deny their criticisms aren't unfounded.
Jared Leto, the lead actor, did a good job all things considered, and I felt like he had a strong performance--as strong of a performance he could give, considering it was a mediocre movie.
The antagonist, Milo, was creepy, confusing, and just... not good. The story gives more time as a maniacal sociopath, rather than developing his character so I was just left not caring whenever he was on-screen.
Honestly, as the movie was winding down, (in the last 30 minutes or so) I felt myself actively wondering when it would end and just leave. The best thing about the movie was that it wasn't longer, because I don't know if I could stand anything more than the (roughly) 2 hours that it was.
This may not be the best or coherent review of Morbius... but it was better than going to see it, so save yourself some time and watch... anything else with decent writing. I honestly thought I gave it a generous score, so if you take all the low scores into consideration, then that might give you an idea of how the movie is.
