I must say this is way better than I expected, especially for a spin-off. Even though I don't know much about the franchise, I still enjoyed an amazingly entertaining, action-packed, stunning, well-presented martial arts film that had my attention from first to last. You're so in for a treat, trust me. Robert Schwentke did a fantastic job directing intense action sequences, involving hours of hard stellar work that sure paid off to deliver the satisfying result and a good storyline you can follow. Best two hours of my life that seemed to fly by so fast. Not familiar with the cast, but their acting skills were incredible, convincing all-around, and did an excellent job for the roles they participated. Henry Golding as the hero was awesome with strong emotions for his role. But in my opinion, the one who steals the show the most is Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow. He put his heart, passion to make this character come to life and feel more real you sincerely care for in an excellently way. Recommend another must-watch film for pure escapism on the big screen for one of those rare experiences in theaters. Also, stay for the mid-credit scene. Don't go so into details examining for flaws as those over-critical critics do. They don't know what good movies are anymore. It's a film that's worth your time. You decide for yourself. If you're a longtime fan of the series, I wouldn't second guess or be hesitant to see it. My favorite new film in 2021 so far. Including Zack Snyder's Justice League and F9: The Fast Saga.
