I have read all Reacher books and this one doesn’t capture the interest of all those previously. It lacks the punch and the plot, going back in time which I never like in a series, is reintroducing his dead brother is over complicated. Why go back in time reading about someone who has been killed in an earlier book?
And Reacher behaves like a laid back follower almost waiting for other characters to take the lead.
I put it down from time to time and was only half interested in picking it up to continue.
It lacks the zing associated with Reacher as though it’s written by someone else trying to copy the style.
