Not the cheesy Christian movie making we are used to that uses the same well worn formula to show stories of redemption. The Chosen leaves you emotional, joyful,excited,fearful,laughing,validated, hungry and thirsty for a return to your bible to read those gospels and smile and praise and be grateful. The 'characters' are so well 'chosen' and the acting is so superb I have not watched anything else on tv during this Covid19. Not my regulars, not the news. (mostly). My 84 yr old MIL said to her friend on the phone "I feel like Jesus has his arms around me when I watch The Chosen". Its that good.
