Astonishing and moving. Technically an incredible achievement, but also an extraordinary experience to see all those now dead young men... larking about, training for battle, terrifiedly waiting for the assault to start. And the comments recorded as oral history of those who returned were a great accompaniment, often surprisingly telling of the excitement and thrill of war as much as the horror. Highly recommended - don’t miss.
