Spoiler free review.
Didn't think anyone could deliver a satisfactory ending to the saga but JJ pulls it off.
Firstly, the opening crawl is a little alarming and instantly makes you think that these are things that should have happened in episode 8 or at least on screen somewhere.
The pacing is a little fast, particularly in the first act, but balances out early in the second and with the kinda final act you'd expect from a star wars movie, makes the whole thing feel like a rollercoaster ride.
The rush at the start is mostly because of the obvious damage control/course correction needed after the last film, which is done very well without completely disregarding Rian Johnson's efforts, and in some cases, using them to add to the story.
Lots of excitement, plenty of fan service ,but without being intrusive in it's presentation, and good conclusive story arcs for most of the key characters.
The visuals are incredible as you would expect and despite a few minor complaints, overall a very enjoyable movie.
It seems the Fore will be with us...always!
