I had mixed emotions about this, which made it a great series in this case. On one hand, she sees him as a savor for her restaurant and personal life because of his supposed “money”,”connects”and “happily ever after” pitch but doesn’t really love “him”. So why should you feel sorry her when things go horribly wrong - right?
On the other hand, no one should ever be taken advantage of the way she and her mother was. It amazes me how little jail time one gets for swindling millions out of someone. Regardless of the relationship - fraud is fraud! I feel for the employees as well that had to work through the con.
