The Great : An occasionally True Story Love it 💛 It is for my liking than Bridgerton in which is too pretentious, too soap-opera and too historically inaccurate. This one positions itself as a satirical comedy with occasionally true inspirations on the life ascending to greatness of Empress Catherine the Great of Russia. Dialogue is witty. Plot is hilariously absurd yet reflective on human flaws and sickening court politics. All leads know their acting standing points and charming to watch. My fav must be Marial who knows her things and acts practical with resilience and realistic outlook. Half way through the 1st season and already looking forward to the upcoming 2nd season!
