TROS is a twisted mess of a film that pandered to fan service, unnecessary call backs, lazy conveniences and completely riddled with plot holes and inconsistencies. The absence of an overarching narrative was clearly evident as this instalment was pitted with a multitude of 'secrets' and plot devices that was never hinted in any of the previous films. A colossal disappointment to the conclusion of one of the best Sci-Fi space franchises. It felt like an empty, superficial shell of a movie that was made by a table of Disney executives. The only stars awarded were for the performances of the actors and some of the visuals. Beyond that, this franchise was better off ending at Episode 8.
