My all time favorite movie! The black and white is a smart choice because it's easier to pay attention to the power of the story; color would be too distracting. The acting is excellent, especially that of Anne Bancroft and a young Patty Duke. I cry every time I see it. Intense and moving!

If you love gospel, this is the show for you. It's about singing, building a choir, discovering amazing voices, hope, promise, God's gifts, and so many other things. The singing is phenomenal! A wonderful show! I just want to keep watching it!!
