This is one of the few movies I've ever seen that I had to reflect on, really reflect on what I just saw to give me an unbiased review. Did I like it? Yes, in the way that I think it is truly meant to be seen, yes I enjoyed it.
The Sadness is simple to understand, but not to enjoy. I have to say that because of some of the acting, the music and without a doubt, the direction I was able to appreciate what the director and this movie sets out to be.
If your reading this, than you've already most likely seeked this movie out to see what all the hype/shocking things are about.
Even though the subject matter is of the most vile, dispeakable kind, every scene is directed with masterful direction. Nobody delights in watching these things, but guess what? For some reason society does and this movie is not exploitative in any sense.
It's scary, intense, it's absolutely horrible what goes on in this movie.
In some sick way though it's beautifully made in a way that made me truly think about life outside of movies as a whole.
Will I ever watch this again? Never. Will I ever forgot the movie and the message contained within? No
An absolutely unsettling masterpiece that few will like or maybe should, and I think that's the point.
Watch it for yourself, because you won't see anything else like it for awhile. You've been warned.
