I was excited to watch this movie solely because of Bobby Deol, but was saddened to discover his role was for such a short time. He is amazing.
The movie left a bitter taste in my mouth. The message of the movie was supposed to be a son’s unconditional love for his father. However, it seemed to give a message that one is above the law if the individual has money. There were no repercussions for all the murders.
Furthermore, it showed no matter how advanced we claim ourselves to be, women in our society is still very much helpless. Women in the movie have no say at all. The main character cheats on his wife and she seemingly is supposed to just sit and accept it just because he thinks his actions are justified. She is forced to be in a relationship where there is no respect for the relationship or herself as a human being because they have kids?
Why is it shown that the women have to make all the sacrifices? From raising kids alone, being cheated, physically abused by their husbands, you name it, the women in the movie endure it all.
So exactly what thought or emotion is this movie supposed to ignite in us?
