Recently, after rediscovering this record (because I know the drummer, personally), this has surpassed Dots & Loops as my favorite by 'Lab.
Sean O'Hagen's horns make the record sound warm and lovely, and McEntire's production and help with arrangements spice things up nicely. Gane was clearly bursting with ideas as is apparent in that many songs are 3 parts, expertly meshed together.
The harmonies are sublime. I miss Mary.

Fabulous show. Acting, cinematography, effects, script are all superb. The dialogue is almost poetic in parts. And Eva Green and Rory Kinnear are revelations both. Shocked that it didn't recieve more acclaim during its first run. Thankfully, Netflix is bringing it back to the masses and I suspect more reviews like mine.
