A hilarious, horny, well-researched, unapologetic, gross and engrossing book about hot dogs, capitalism, the pandemic and people that doesn’t pull any punches. Makes me want a hot dog real bad and also never again. The history of hot dogs and reviews of dogs from around the country are interesting, but Loftus’ travelogue and takes on what each hot dog joint says about its neighborhood and region kept me hooked. I’m a fan of several of her podcasts and her narration in the audiobook is excellent.
